The Franchise Development Coordinator plays a vital role in our restaurant franchisor business, serving as the primary contact for all franchise leads and inquiries.
They are responsible for managing the franchise development process, qualifying prospective franchisees, and facilitating the initial stages of franchise onboarding.
This role also serves as administrator for the Franchise Development Organization.
Key
Responsibilities:
Act as the main point of contact for all franchise leads, responding to inquiries and providing information about the franchise opportunity.
Qualify leads through phone calls, emails, and other communication channels to assess their interest, financial qualifications, and suitability as potential franchisees.
Conduct initial interviews and screenings to gather information about the prospective franchisees' background, experience, and goals.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date lead information and communication records in the CRM system.
Coordinate and schedule meetings, presentations, and discovery days for prospective franchisees with appropriate internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with the franchise development team to develop sales materials, presentations, and proposals for prospective franchisees.
Address questions, concerns, and objections from prospective franchisees, providing timely and accurate responses to facilitate their decision-making process.
Collaborate with franchisees during the initial stages of onboarding, including completion of application forms, financial due diligence, and legal documentations.
Coordinate with legal and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate preparation of franchise agreements, disclosure documents, and other required paperwork.
Facilitate the transfer of necessary information, documents, and fees between the franchisee and the organization.
Support the franchisee transition process by providing guidance, resources, and connections to relevant internal departments.
Maintain ongoing communication with leads, prospective franchisees, and existing franchisees to build relationships and foster engagement.
Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop and distribute targeted franchise development materials and campaigns.
Provide administrative assistance to the Franchise Development team with calendar execution, clerical duties, expense report completion, and any ordering of supplies.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in franchise development, sales, or a customer-facing role within the restaurant or franchising industry.
Strong sales and customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence decision-making, and close deals.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple leads and prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, franchisees, and external stakeholders.
Working Conditions:
This role primarily works in an office environment.
The role may require occasional travel to attend industry events, tradeshows, and franchise expos.
Irregular working hours may be necessary to accommodate different time zones and follow-up with leads.
Physical Demands:

Occasional travel may involve standing, walking, and moving around during industry events or franchise expos.
