Assembly Technician

SUMMARY:
This individual performs a combination of electrical and mechanical tasks to construct high quality custom equipment for industrial machines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fits and assembles parts to assembly drawing specifications.
Performs basic electrical wiring using wiring diagrams, schematics and wire lists. Install and wire electrical cabinets into new machine builds. Connect machine to in-coming power. Conduct functional tests to verify proper machine/ panel operation.
Run and test equipment for proper function.
Perform final assembly inspection to ensure production specifications and standards are met.
Assist in Machine Shop and facilities maintenance or troubleshooting as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must be capable of reading, interpreting & following schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.
Must have mechanical aptitude.
Must be capable of safely using a variety of hand or power tools including a Digital Multi-meter and soldering iron.
Must be detail-oriented, organized, be a self-starter, work independently and as part of a team. Accurately follow oral instructions and written policies and procedures in a time sensitive situations.
Problem-solving skills and mathematical skills required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Technical certification preferred.
Must have two years hands-on experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
